Wooden oval table with storage compartment
The BÓN oval table is made of high-quality natural oak wood, which we protect with a matt clear lacquer. This form of preservation effectively protects the furniture from scratches and gives it a raw minimalist expression. The table's dimensions have been adjusted to the needs of an average family and can serve as an everyday place to eat meals together. Simple sophisticated design
The design was awarded in the prestigious competition of the Institute of Industrial Design "Good Design 2021". The Scandinavian style inspiration is evident in the design, which is expressed primarily in the material used and practical qualities. Thanks to its slender legs and relatively thin top, the piece of furniture is visually light and does not visually overwhelm the interior in which it is placed. At the same time, it is characterised by excellent balance, stability and great durability. The oval finish of the top gives it an interesting appearance and makes the table safe for small children. The wooden table will work well in Scandinavian, boho, vintage, japanese and classic interiors.
Smart storage space for small items
Hidden under the top of the round wooden table is a clever storage compartment for storing all sorts of items (for example, a set of placemats or cutlery. A lid with a small round hole in the centre of the oak top. When you insert your finger into it, you can easily lift the cover while revealing a clever hiding place. When purchasing the table, you can choose a cover in the furniture's colour or a contrasting dark hue. It is made of wood, which is protected with a clear varnish like the rest of the table. The lid is fitted to the tabletop with great care so that when closed it forms a smooth seamless surface with the table top and is unobtrusive.
Ethical production
As with the other pieces of furniture in the BÓN collection, the wood used in the production of the table is sourced entirely from State Forests. We only use plantations where sustainable forest management is practised (Forest Stewardship Council® certificate). The tables are made in Poland in our sawmill and production facility. The design itself is also Polish. The local nature of the production and the way the raw material is sourced are consistent with our professed ecological ideas and environmental values.
